Sources & methodology
Method. For each outcome: value = units × unit value × (1 − deadweight) × (1 − attribution) × (1 − displacement), accumulated over the benefit duration you choose for that outcome, with an annual drop-off and a 3.5% discount rate (HM Treasury Green Book). The result is an indicative social value estimate, not a full SROI — it does not replace stakeholder engagement, verified outcome data or counterfactual analysis.
Principles. Our defaults are deliberately conservative, in line with Social Value International's principles: involve stakeholders, understand change, only include what is material, do not over-claim, and verify.
